The Happy Place School Operating Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-3:00 PM
8:15-8:30 - Drop-Off Child at Intersection of Old Las Vegas Hwy and Old Pecos Trail. We leave promptly at 8:30, if you miss the shuttle you will have to drop child off at our base location.
8:50 - Free Play in the Forest or shelter if severe weather exists
10:00 - Circle Time, songs, yoga, games, movement etc.
10:15 - Snack and Tea Time provided by THPCS, includes gathering tinder and helping build the fire for the Tea.
10:45 - Forest Wander, could include games, things to find/explore, tracking, bird/plant ID, free play, handcraft, or just walking and letting Nature lead
12:00 - Lunch provided by Parent, please pack nutrient-rich whole food, please no sugary snacks
12:40 - Story, Quiet Rest Time
1:10 - Free Play or Handcraft
2:30 - Packing up for the day
3:00 - Pick-up Child at Intersection of Old Las Vegas Hwy and Old Pecos Trail
Very Important
THPFS offers a full immersion, Nature Connection program. In order for Nature Connection to happen safely and for prolonged periods of time, children MUST be dressed appropriately. This includes seasonally appropriate items such as rain suit (yes full suit, not just rain jacket) rain boots, snow boots, snow suit, mittens, hat, sunhat, sunscreen, water bottle, small back pack, sturdy shoes for long walks (no sandals) and EXTRA CHANGE OF SEASONAL CLOTHES PACKED IN ZIPLOCK BAG.
Children arriving without proper gear will be asked to head home and repack before attending that day.
